    I think: it was built in the late 70's maybe 80's, was advertized by a broker in England in the 90's, sistership to Nadir II and Progression. Fan tail, 85+ feet, cat powered, stainless steel cap rails, slighty beamy, originally built for a Shell oil executive.

    This is how i remember the yacht any info on the boat would be great. I tried to buy the other two at different times 10 years ago and I think this is the best of the three for me I would like to purchase this one. I never could forget her lines/profile

    Hi,

    Not sure about the exact vessel but it looks like one of those Bennettis that was made in a big long length and were chopped off and crimped at the ends when an Owner said what length he wanted.

    Those Bennettis of that era all had a similar look. We used to haul a 90' each year at Dad's yard in Antigua called Bamboo that had old Gardener engines but crossed the Atlantic like clockwork but she had a canoe stern.

    The first M/Y I worked on was the 110' Gitana with a square stern, later named Halleluja that had a fishing bucket welded to the stern.

    Not to confuse the issue but Codecasa also built boats to a very similar style.

    Bambu was later called Progression and is a sister to the Alessandra Serena, both from 1973. Nadir Secondo / Nadir II from 1972 was just 25 m.

    I see, the vessel I that I am looking for, I think was named, "Rose of Newport" but it has been a long time.

    I agree and I really like that look The boat I am looking for was about 90 feet. The ones I mentioned Nadir and Progression all had canoe sterns.

    You have a great eye this is exactly what I am talking about.
    I think the ship in the picture is Nadir II but maybe Progression they were both so similar.

    I would really like to see a picture of Iruka/Ivara built at that time, 25.98 m long, and with cats seems to be the little ship i am looking for and can't get out of my mind!

    The similar one you mentioned with the link is REALLY interesting it has my attention, but still partial to the extra 10 feet of boat that I am looking for.

    Yes, I remember now. I was told progression was originally launched as Bamboo. I think you are on to something here does the picture of the boat I posted look like Alessandra Serena?

    I worked on a yacht that was 97' and called "SISISI", it is still travelling the east coast of the US. It has Gardener diesels and I believe was built in a Feretti yard and is steel. It looks very similar to your picture and brings back fond memories.

    The picture you posted is not Rose of Newport, but a yacht that had the name Henry K when it had a refit in 1995, it was built in 1973.

    Rose of Newport is from 1975 and have more squarish portholes below deck. I´ll see if I can trace her now... (I have been onboard both in the 90:s)

    Oh that's great. So you think the boat I am looking for was at one time named the Henry K.
    That's good information where was she when you were on her and any information or things you remember would be great. Did you like her layout below and was I right that she had cats for power and stainless steel cap rails? Do you remember how long she was? It was quite a while ago when I got the listing specs. from a broker so I am still trying to sort things out.

    She probably was built in 93 that would explain the more rake and modern profile.

    Thanks, I would appreciate any pictures of both boats to help my understanding of things.

    Henry K had Gardners and was on charter in the Med. Rose could have had Cats... all my old documents are stored so I can not answer right now.
