Congrats Aaron! Good wood you got there. Hope that hydro remains static. The thought of straddling a small block sounds like a soprano in the making.

Kind of what I was thinking. Not much speed wise has ever really scared me, but, that frightens the heck out of me just thinking about it.

About fifty years ago I built a model of that hydroplane. Found the box with some remaining building material just recently, hope to find the model soon as well. It even had the same white and red paint...

And yes, the Hacker looks great, congratulations!

I bought a few Hemi's & a Flagship A100.

History - Miss Belle Isle

Still putting together all of the history on the boat. So far, she has never been in the water, the motor was only test fired, we have recently pulled the motor and sent it out. We may re-power this boat with a 8.1. We have started the process of engineering a new dash panel and selecting gauges, etc.

Looking to have all of the new chrome made for the boat including the Cutwaters. I will actually be out at Hacker Boat Company next week for some other dealings but will see what they are able to fabricate for me off of the plans that I have for the boat.

Hopefully we will have this vessel completed by Spring '11 so that we can showcase her at many of the ACBS events. I have also acquired a few other vessels that I will document on here as well as time goes on.

As for the Hydroplane Carl, we will be getting that running by Spring '11 as well for it's first water run. It hasn't been run since the 70's. Should be very interesting to say the least. I will take pictures and video as time goes on.

1967 Chris Craft Sea Hawk (Sea Skiff) 28

Thought you guys would like to see some pics of another acquisition as of last week - 1967 Chris Craft Sea Hawk 28. Otherwise known as a Sea Skiff, they only built 47 of these in 1967 and they were named Sea Hawks, built by the Skiff Division of Chris Craft in Algonac Michigan.

Twin 283's, Excellent Varnish, Paint, Interior & Gauges. Everything is original for the most part.
