  1. First Vanquish VQ115 Veloce Sold To American Client
The first Vanquish VQ115 Veloce is presently under construction for its American owner and this will be a landmark delivery when it happens on its earmarked 2022 completion. The VQ115 Veloce is the yard's largest offering at the moment and is being built in aluminum. Their vessels are typically performance oriented and for this particular craft a 50-knot top end is being targeted. The VQ115 Veloce project started as the VQ90 but as the owner wanted more space to customize their floating entertainment pad, the project grew in size.

  2. The yacht is expected to have smaller Vanquish vessels as onboard tenders. A VQ16 will be at home in the main aft garage while a smaller VQ11 water scooter will reside in the side garage on the starboard side. Other waterborne toys will be stored in these areas as well. The VQ11 and VQ16 are part of the composite line of vessels the yard makes.
  3. In terms of accommodation, the VQ115 Veloce will be able to sleep up to eight (8) guests onboard in three dedicated cabins; a full-beam master suite, VIP and a smaller guest cabin all with their own bathrooms. Three cabins only sleep six but Vanquish states that a dedicated media room is fitted with two Pullmans that bring the potential sleeping capacity to eight. The yacht can also sleep up to four crew members.
  4. Vanquish Yachts are performance oriented. In fact, this particular vessel will be the world’s fastest aluminum yacht fitted with conventional engines. Speaking of powerplants, the VQ115 will be equipped with triple MTU-Rolls-Royce 2600 engines. These are likely to push this vessel just pass the 50-knot mark in half-load conditions. Naturally at these speeds the vessel is not at its most efficient and you will have to dial back to fast cruising speed to see extended range. The range utilizing one or two of the powerplants could be in the region of 600 nautical miles.
  5. The yacht is semi-custom to a degree and tailored to the specifications of this particular owner. The main deck salon of the first VQ115 will be tailored to the owner’s wishes with movable furniture to allow flexibility of occasion and time of day. Office space is included when work calls, there is a neat pantry with its own cocktail bar, plus a day head to keep the lower deck private. Stairs rise to the sport flybridge above while the aft door opens fully to create a unified space with the aft deck: matching floors will ensure continuity between the outdoor and indoor spaces.
  6. The flybridge area while it isn't the largest it still maintains a sense of relaxation while at anchor or underway. The space is cleanly integrated into the superstructure of the vessel. From profile view it is difficult to see that there is a flybridge/sundeck area. It is simple yet functional space centered around a layout pad, built-in settee, opposing settees with cocktail tables and of course the flybridge controls forward of the area. A sunshade system can be erected to help shield the space from the sun while at anchor.
  7. There is one pool onboard, more of a dip pool that can be filled with salt water. This area is located on the foredeck too can be shaded by a sun awning system. It is a secondary entertainment/chill zone coming with integrated bottle and cup holders making the enjoyment of liquid courage while underway a snap. Two tables also serve an integrated settee which surely can be used as an al fresco dining or breakfast nook if desired while at anchor or even in a marina.
  8. The interior decor is consistent throughout the vessel utilizing earthy and midtones accented with blues in the throw cushions and fabric piping details. Basic specification on the first VQ 115 Veloce include a length of 34.7-meters with a 6.7-meter beam and a draft of 1.35-meters. 112 tonne displacement and a top speed anticipated to be 51-plus knots are helped by Arneson Surface drives connected to the powerplants. The first hull of this new model is expected for this year after the sale was made in October 2020.
