  1. Two Mistral 41 Units In Build At Atlante Yachts
In Turkey at the Mengi Yay yard there are two new yachts presently under construction for a brand called Atlante Yachts. The two yachts are designed by VYD, an Italian design firm. These two are being built in aluminium but should an owner request their specimen to be built with a steel hull the yard can execute that request. While these yachts possess their own personality and flair overall it is clear that the design has taken inspiration from other yacht models that other builders are manufacturing in this size bracket.
  2. For example, the aft beach club on the transom, does that look familiar? Of course it does. It can be seen on the Benetti Oasis 40. This is the current trend being pushed on this end of the market, integrating seamless views and near-water experiences with uninterrupted views as well as increased volumes in spaces that traditionally weren't designed this way. The beach area on the Mistral 41 encompasses three levels. The first is the main seating area with built-ins and a ton of space for either lounging or any other al-fresco activities. The second area is the where the dip pool is located with side bulwarks that can fold down to create terraces and then two steps down from there is the swim platform which as the rendering suggests can fit a few loungers which will allow you to recline as close to the water without getting in.
  3. The interior accommodation is available in two layout configurations. The standard layout will see a five cabin arrangement with four guest cabins on the lower deck and an on-deck full-beam master suite. The other option is the Penthouse Layout which essentially moves the master suite to the upper deck where the sky lounge normally would be fitted. The Penthouse variant also offers a slightly different look to the decor of the master suite. Either way accommodation is likely for ten guests in five cabins.
  4. The Penthouse layout also affects the social spaces onboard as there is a different design that comes with this option. Furniture changes as well as finished materials and changes to the coffers in the ceilings overall make this option have a loft appeal. Below is a view of the Standard Layout for the main saloon which still offers a light-filled space with symmetry featuring prominently.
  5. Below is a look at the communal foyer that contains the staircase connecting all decks for guest use. A multiplicity of finished materials can be used in this space to make the area a focal point of each deck. Here in this example we can see an emphasis on permitting natural light to pervade the foyer space which is naturally easy being surrounded by ample-sized glazing on both sides.
  6. Other features onboard include a jacuzzi on the forward sun deck. There is a midships transverse garage for the main tender and a few toys. There is also a second smaller garage located below the deck of the beach area between the first level and just forward of the pool. It is large enough to stow one or two PWCs served by their own davit. Forward of the bridge on the fore deck there is an al fresco region with sunpads, great for use when at anchor or underway in good weather. The Mistral 41 can be powered conventionally or there is an option for hybrid propulsion. Initial figures suggest a 5,000 nautical mile range at fuel-sipping speed and a top-end of 20-knots. The first two units of the Mistral 41 model are in build but this model is the first of up to six semi-custom models available from this builder.
