  1. Ocean Alexander's OA35R; The Belle of the Ball
The Ocean Alexander OA35R has been making waves and also reaching the headlines thanks to its modern appeal both internally and on the exterior. Making its debut at the ongoing Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) the OA35R (Revolution) has been recognized and in-fact lauded by NBC Sports as the 'BEST OF SHOW'. Further to this, the network will be airing a special on the 31st, the last day of the boat show with commentary by Townsend Bell, Leigh Diffey, and Kristen Beat, at 10 pm EST on NBC Sports.
  2. Like many of the other Revolution-class Ocean Alexander yachts, the 35R is designed by Evan K Marshall. The 35R is currently the largest in the Revolution series from OA and offers class leading finishes and materials, all in a modern contemporary styling. The interior is functional and stylish but the yacht also has expansive outdoor spaces. Everything from the beach club to the bow lounge pads and the unique flybridge deck will make you feel like you’re on top of the world. At the Beach Club level you will find the 35R’s most unique features. Beyond the sea level entertaining space complete with television and wet bar, it is fit with a sauna and gym that is accessed either directly from the beach club with its fold down swim platform or from the interior via side deck stairs on the port side. Below is a look at the skylounge arrangement and the views this area would afford on your OA35R.
  3. At 117-feet, the OA 35R offers plenty of space for guests to enjoy with abundant volume even in the guest cabins. Below is an example of the fine work exemplified onboard the 35R. The gross Tonnage is just under 300GT which allows comfortably ten (10) guests in a five cabin layout in the standard arrangement. The master suite is forward on the main deck enjoying the maximum beam of the yacht while the remainder of the guest cabins are on the lower deck. These comprise of two doubles and two twins. Here we see how the master suite can be finished if this type of style and palette is chosen.
  4. Coming upstairs from the lower deck guests can traverse into the main salon/formal dining room space on the main deck. This where they will find a large L-shaped settee with an opposing credenza that houses a high-low television as well as extra storage. Slightly forward is the formal dining room which is flanked on either side by large windows to enhance the dining experience at anchor. While in this space, take a moment to take in the level of finishing proposed in the following render.
  5. As we continue to traverse this space with an alternate view; we see the aft area of the salon, looking forward towards the dining area. Even with the side decks and external stairs leading to the foredeck, the salon and dining area space is still voluminous. The internal stairs takes you up to the sky lounge or you can continue forward towards the full-beam master suite. That L-shape settee commands the space with a small cocktail table of Onyx or Agat.
  6. As we can see this particular OA35R is called "Ziggy" as shown in this live running shot. One thing noticeable on the exterior decks is the teak. Not the teak itself as a material but the teak in the pattern it was laid to the deck. The pattern is imaginative by Ocean Alexander going against the grain of the normal longitudinally laid boards of regular production yachts. The multiplicity of alfresco areas are also clear to see from the cozy foredeck area with cocktail table and opposing sunpadded region to the spacious but intimate sundeck. The sundeck area can be customized and fitted with a hot tub/jacuzzi, built-in sunpads, bar, and alfresco seating.
  7. Any vantage point of the Ocean Alexander OA35R is pleasing to the eye. Thanks to the exterior work of Evan K Marshall and the Naval Architecture by Arrabito Naval Architects. At full load she will top out at 365,086 lbs. Fuel capacity is for 19,500 LT of fuel which feed a pair of MAN® V12 1900 horsepower engines. These are the standard power by the way and you could possibly fit more powerful engines should you specify. There is also provision for 2,270 LT of fresh water onboard. The max length of the OA 35R is 116.9-feet with a beam of 25.1-feet and a draft of 6.11-feet. "The 35R from Ocean Alexander is a magnificent example of the luxury megayachts and high-end exhibitors that make FLIBS a leading boat show across the world," said Andrew Doole, President of U.S. Boat Shows with Informa Markets. "We are thrilled to have the 35R as the Best of Show winner at this year’s boat show for all visitors to enjoy."
