  1. CL Yachts CLB65 To Premiere This Year

With much of the attention currently on the CLB88 which has been on display at the ongoing Miami Yacht Show, as well as the new CLX96 SAV, there is another new boat from CL that is nearing completion and it checks all the boxes in the mid-range segment. It is actually from the Bravo line (CLB) and is the new CLB65 which is targeting owner/operators. "CLB65 will stand out for a lot of reasons," says CL Yachts’ Martin Lo. "Our clients will enjoy the expansive windows, which have an up-down function on the port side and a flip-up window at aft bulkhead by the galley. This is in line with our idea of bringing outside in and inside out."
  2. The CLB65 is on a 3-deck design which has two of the decks being internal and the third is the open air flybridge. It also has a few open relaxation spots in the traditional locations you would expect on this size yacht. For example, there is an aft cockpit area on the aft main deck which comes with a table while the upper aft deck as an outdoor L-shaped settee also with a table serving it. The bow is home to a lay-out pad which is sure to be utilized at anchor or even underway.
  3. The interior of the CLB65 is one that seeks to connect the indoors with the outdoors as much as possible while still giving a sense of coziness and ample space at the same time. These are metrics that are not easily met when working with the constraints of a 65-foot boat. Here is a glimpse of the interior scheme that has been planned for this boat. It has an overall light and calming yet sophisticated atmosphere . Light tones and fabrics coupled with lightly bleached surfaces play into this concept. Below is a schematic of what is normally the main salon but we see a galley to port, dinette area opposite to starboard and more of a salon environment forward with an L-shaped settee to the port opposite a credenza that hides the flat-panel television.
  4. Below deck we will find the accommodations. There is a VIP V-berth up front in the bow while the master suite is midships. Again the same design language has been utilized giving the sleeping abode a sense of calm and a true place of relaxation when retiring for the night. The VIP V-berth is similar in feel to the master suite just on a smaller scale and naturally is shaped differently because of its location.
  5. The master suite is full-beam towards the midship region of the hull and has bigger windows to flood the room with natural light. It also has taller and more extensive hanging-locker storage for the owners of the boat. We have spoken about two guest cabins so far. The boat with the standard layout comes with a 3-cabin arrangement for guests. The third cabin is a twin berth which is located on the portside forward of the master suite. The master cabin has its own ensuite as you would expect but it isn't full-beam like the main part of the suite.
  6. The owner and guests onboard will have levels of comfort thanks to stabilization provided by CMC Marine. Martin Lo said, "We choose CMC Marine Waveless Stabilizers because of the compactness, noise level, ease of installation and prompt response on our queries. We look forward to working with them". The fins are for at-rest as well as underway.
  7. Earlier we talked about the indoor-outdoor feel the yacht has. This is made possible by having the main deck salon door and windows aft being able to slide out of the way and open up. Below we can see this depicted in the rendering. It allows for easy flow in and out. It also should be noted the design choices made. The storage area on the port side of the cockpit may appear to end at the glass facade but it really continues inside to be part of the galley setup. That area emphasizes the indoor-outdoor ethos for this particular space.
  8. The Cheoy Lee Bravo series CLB65 is actually the smallest member of the Bravo series. The hull is RINA Hull Certification but can be CE rated if requested. The first hull is anticipated to make its first appearance at the 2022 Newport International Boat Show on the 15th of September, 2022 and conclude on the 18th. In terms of performance, we do not know a lot about that aspect of the boat as CL Yachts only indicated an expected top speed of 27-knots. The LOA is 64.6-feet with a beam of 19.10-feet and a draft of 4.9-feet.
