YES has completed another hull based on the shadow vessel concept. Except this one is a mothership concept for a fishing club. Eastern Pacific Yacht Club (EPYC), conceptualized by Tom Ellsworth of Ellsworth Marine in San Diego, CA, is ow floating, completiong her fitting out and will be open for business in September. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Ellsworth in San Diego the day after Pacific Provider arrived from her shakedown cruise from Seattle. With interior areas, such as staterooms, bar/lounge areas, dinning room and galley more than halfway completed, EPYC is well on her way to plying the coasts of the US, Mexico and Central America to bring exotic fishing experiences to her members. A treat during my visit was sampling the culinary creations of chef Drew. A top-notch, high-end chef, Drew has worked around the worldand in five-star resorts.
Okay, I can't give away all my info yet as I was on assignment for a magazine, but I'll tease you with a few photos from my visit. I have seen more recent pics and she is looking real good. Congrat Tom, and Stan Antrim of YES.
