  1. Update on the 56.4-meter sailing ketch "Encore" by Alloy Yachts

One of the latest yachts under construction at top New Zealand yard Alloy Yachts is AY46, a fly-bridge sailing ketch. The vessel with an LOA of 56.4-meters or some 186.12-feet is to be the successor of another yacht they built a few years ago for the same owner. If the name "Mondango" sounds familiar, well this new yacht will be th sequel to her. In fact, most media outlets were refering to her as Mondango but it seems as though that her name will actually be "Encore", which isn't far off for a successor yacht.
  2. Encore will be a larger version to Mondango with many improvements other than further spaciousness. The vessel bears design by Dubois Naval Architects and will have an interior that has been done by Reymond Langton. The new interior by Reymond Langton is not that far a departure from what we saw onboard Mondango as it takes similar elements into consideration.

Briefly running through technical specs, the engine model is Caterpillar C32 with fuel capacity for just over 50,000 LT (50,300 LT) and water capacity for 11,000 LT. The sails are by North Sails while the masts, booms and rigging are by Southern Spars. Encore's Classifcation runs as follows: Lloyds Register X100 A1 SSC Yacht Mono G6 MCH & LY2. Encore is expected to be completed by October 2013.

    LOA : 56.4m / 186ft
