Surveyor needed for sailboat in So. Dakota

    Yes, you read that right - a sailboat in South Dakota. Can anyone recommend a surveyor? My friend has checked the general SAMS/NAMS registry.

    Thanks, Ralph. Yes, the sailboat needing survey is in the 30+ category.

    I think this is the first time I have posted a question on YF and not gotten a name :-(

    Of course, flying in a surveyor is an option, but one my friend would rather than choose.

    From the photos of that lake, there appear to be quite a few masts sticking up in the marina.
    Query the dockmaster, neighbors on the docks, the local chandlery/sailmaker(s)...
    Quick search shows no "accredited" surveyors in SD; nearest are in MN and IA.
    Come on--somebody has to be in the vicinity, though his/her full-time gig may be at Sears or the 'Jalopies R Us' garage.
