I have a 1988 46 Post and I would like to add some speakers into the fly-bridge overhang in the cockpit area. So my curiosity is can they be added there, if so how deep of a speaker did you add and lastly how did you run the wires? If you have pictures, please post.

    Thanks,
    Pete

It's a shallow area, I installed Poly Planar speakers in my 42. I'll see about pictures tomorrow.

I also installed a pair Poly Planars with a separate volume crossover control in the cockpit. In order to get some bass out of them I put one low, on the port side near my steps, and one on the starboard side near the power cord. The speakers are water proof and a 6" hole saw worked fine. I ran the wires from there back to the stereo set along the wire harnesses forward in the engine room.
