The Hunt 54 Ocean series is possibly one of the best mid-50's boats that reflect an old world appeal of traditional cruisers blending ultra-modern amenities and engineering. IPS drives from Volvo come as standard for superior maneuvering and quieter running. The interior is also modern and airy even on a 50-foot boat. She is actually 57-feet long according to the official specification sheet. A beam of 15.8-feet and a draft of 4.6-feet inclusive of the props allow her to be able to go pretty much anywhere.

Volvo Penta drives come as standard onboard and are available in 950 horse power or less powerful 725 horse power. Top speed is 31-knots with standard power and fast cruising is around 27-knots. These are calculated at half load which is around 54,000 lbs. 2,830 LT are onboard for fuel as well as 568 LT. The range is around 300 nautical miles (10% fuel reserve). Two decks are available, lower and main deck with all accommodation being on the lower deck. Depending on how the owner chooses, the master can be mid deck or in the bow.

The salon is fitted with an L-shape settee on the starboard side with accompanying table. This area is directly aft of the navigation station. Opposite of the area are two chairs for overspill seating. Moving aft outside through the door, the aft cockpit area can seat a few people on sofa seating with a table. Overall, the Hunt 54 is a nimble cruiser that is large enough to carry a few friends or family along the coast or overnight escapades to nearby destinations.
