News: Cantieri Navali Chioggia Launches 130' Explorer "Genesia"

The latest yacht from builder Cantieri Navali Chioggia (CNC) launched recently. She is part of the Ocean King family of explorer yachts and is now the yard's flagship model, Ocean King 130. Her name is "Genesia" and the yacht was christened prior to being slipped into the water. This yacht will almost have an indefinite range at trawling speeds. 200,000 LT of fuel can be stored and at a sedate 9-knots Genesia's range is in the region of 9,500 nautical miles. She can sprint up to 14-knots if needed but her role will be efficient cruising.

"Genesia is a dream come true for us,” commented her owner at the launch ceremony. “She is the synthesis of power, safety and comfort and we are delighted to have met a great team of professionals at Cantieri Navali Chioggia who understands what we were looking for and worked at keeping with every detail, making technical innovations as well.” The design is very tug-like/work boat-esq and features a very rugged exterior appearance. Her enormous aft upper deck is where she will be carrying a fleet of tenders and toys. There is room for an 8-meter main tender and other boats including toys and underwater craft. On the interior there is accommodation to satisfy up to 10 guests. A master suite, two twins and a VIP grade suite are available for guests. The Italian yard expects to have Genesia displayed at the 2017 edition of the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) later in the year.
