60-meter Project 'Samurai' Launches At Alia Yachts

Alia Yachts recently launched their new flagship superyacht in the form of the 60-meter Project 'Samurai'. Omega Architects designed the exterior of the yacht while the interior was done by UK firm Redman Whiteley Dixon (RWD) and Naval Architecture by Van Oosanen. The four deck superyacht has great features including a large jacuzzi on the forward end of the sundeck with symmetrical seating midships and room for loungers on the aft.

On the lower deck, the tender garage has been pushed a bit further forward than usual but it's still aft. The positioning made room for a beach club in the aft-most part of the lower deck. The accommodation on board is for twelve guests in six cabins. Large vertical rectangular windows make a statement and demarcates where guest accommodation is located including the owner's suite. With the engine room almost midships on the lower deck, crew accommodation and mess area are situated forward of here towards the bow and this layout pushed guest accommodation to the main deck. The hull form allows for a top speed of 21-knots yet permits a 5,000 nautical miles at trawl speeds and around 4,250 nautical miles at economical cruising. The engine brief called for a setup of a pair of MTU 16V 4000 M73L marine diesels. Project Samurai is penned for delivery later on in the year but Alia yachts also are working on Project 'Nozomi' also expected to launch this year.
