  1. To Russia With Love!
    New Mulder 68 Convertible delivered

After delivering a Mulder 63 Wheelhouse to a Russian owner earlier this year, Mulder Shipyard recently finished a Mulder 68 Convertible for another Russian client. The new yacht, which is 20.70 metres long, will be berthed in Saint Petersburg.

While Mulder Shipyard had already built a number of yachts in the 68 Convertible range, this latest launch is unique in a number of ways. Most importantly, it is 50 cm wider and 60 cm longer than its predecessors, allowing significantly more interior space. In addition, the modern interior is finished in an original arrangement of cherrywood and avant-garde colours chosen in close cooperation with the owner. Its classy retro lines give the new 68 an extremely modern look, similar to that of other Mulder Convertibles.

Other highlights of the new model include ensuite toilets and showers for each of the cabins, including the crew berth. The exterior consists of a striking dark blue hull and silver metallic superstructure, while the elegant deck is executed completely in teak and features various stainless steel accessories. The wheelhouse includes a large, hydraulic sliding roof. The
spacious garage in the aft ship also opens hydraulically, and houses a 3.50-metre tender with jet propulsion. Two C12 ACERT Caterpillar diesel engines of 715 hp each ensure the yacht can reach an impressive top speed of 25 knots.

The new 68 Convertible has complemented the Dutch yard’s portfolio with another yacht built completely in aluminium. Mulder Shipyard has extensive experience in the construction of custom-built aluminium motoryachts, and many international customers have repeatedly shown their confidence in the yard’s superior capacities. Mulder recently started the construction of a 54 Convertible Open, which is expected to be delivered in the spring of
    2007.

The Amsterdam Seaport (Hiswa te Water) Boat Show in September will see the introduction of a smaller version of the 68 Convertible, namely the 59 Convertible. A yacht of this type has already been delivered to a German owner earlier this year, and will be displayed at stand number A20. Mulder Shipyard will also be present at the Monaco Yacht Show, in the Holland Pavilion located in the Darse Nord air-conditioned tent. Detailed information will be available on the 68 Convertible as well as all other models.
