  1. LeClercq Marine's New 82 Arrives In Style

Seattle builder LeClercq Marine has just unveiled their newest yacht, and it's as much a treat for the eye as it is for the performance minded. The design captures the advanced styling of a concept boat but with a lot of functionality built in below deck. Two features stand out above the rest. The roominess of accommodations for owners, guests and crew, plus the ample speed this boat has to whisk its passengers along to extended destinations.

There are four staterooms on the lower deck forward that are accessed from the mid-ships galley. The VIP stateroom is in the bow with its own ensuite head, followed by two guest staterooms that share the day head and flank the center passageway. Further aft is the master stateroom that occupies the full beam of the boat. The two crew staterooms are accessed from the stern cockpit by way of a private stairway. A passageway leads forward to a crew's galley and head, and then to the engine room access.

The large open area on the stern provides ample staging for water fun by way of the swim step. A covered open-air cockpit area just forward of this has built-in seating for cruising, relaxing or entertaining. Inside, the salon is beautifully appointed and adjoins the formal dining area just forward. Up two steps and just beyond the floor to ceiling display cabinetry, the spacious galley is a chef's delight. It has a large curved counter that's ideal for informal dining or a late night snack.

From the galley, a set of stairs leads up to the pilothouse on the upper deck. The single helm station and settee for guests make a superb place for cruising. A hydraulic crane aft of the pilothouse can launch a shoreboat from its perch on the upper deck, to either side of the vessel. Full walk-around decks, along with the yacht's bow and stern thrusters make docking a much smoother routine for the crew.

Power is supplied by twin Detroit DDC 12V92s at 1100 horsepower each. Maximum speed is 26 knots and cruise speed is 23 knots, with 2000 gallons of fuel to take you fast and far. Twin Kohler generators provide the AC, while stabilizers and air conditioning provide added comfort. Length overall is 82', with a beam of 18'6" and a draft of 4'6" to allow passage into shallower waters safely.
