San Lorenzo unveils new 42-meter Explorer ​

Italian yacht manufacturer San Lorenzo made a step further in diversifying their product offering to the public with the unveiling of a 42-meter Explorer megayacht. San Lorenzo is not known for expedition yachts but they have decided to enter that market segment based on the rising popularity for explorer yachts.

The new 42-meter expedition yacht will have a few ‘green’ features to help make its environmental footprint a little lighter. She is expected to be classified under ‘Green Plus’ with the ability to remain at anchor for up to two days without having to utilize the polluting generator sets. Additionally, they expect that the San Lorenzo EXP 42-meter will have long-range because of its high fuel efficiency –another environmentally friendly feature. She will have a lesser draft allowing her to traverse closer to the shore without disrupting the undersea life by grounding or excess vibration.

On board, the 42-meter yacht will be carrying her guests on the lower deck slept in four cabins. The owner has a spacious full-beam master suite on the main deck for themselves. When not sleeping, guests will enjoy use of the counter-current pool onboard on the lower deck. Additionally there is a large fitness area with well-stocked gym –stocked with exercise equipment that is-.

There is also a beach club with a dive station, including a sauna. The 42-meter yacht has a range of 4,000 nautical miles. Top speed is 15-knots using either CAT C32s or MTU M63’s. The San Lorenzo genes are strong in the new 42-meter EXP. There is no doubt that this yacht will be a utilitarian, yet highly stylish megayacht bearing the distinct branding of San Lorenzo.
