    Ouch, stress crack?
Been running in heavy seas or hit a dock pretty hard?

Where did that trim piece come from below the crack IN THE SAME LINE?
Looks like a previous repair (incomplete) coming back..
The horizontal line is in question also.

Not sure what that trim piece is, but now that you mention it that does look like a cover-up
Going back to the boat tomorrow to investigate further

So, is it your boat or is it something you're thinking of buying?

It's a vessel I looked at today, may consider purchase depending on extent of this repair

In the picture, follow he crack straight down.
2 inches from the top of the scab trim, a seam goes stb to the window. Not the pressure you want on a piece of glass near it's corner.

I had a glass 34 Pequod With a similar issue. The bottom of the support next to the door was rotted out and all was caving in, including this bulkhead from the deck house side.
Get-Rot and lots of caulk covered with trim made it look good but was really mush.
Get a walk on friend (surveyor) to help you look at it before you put any money down.

If this wasn't repaired properly I wonder what else is lurking. Better be cheap.

Stay away from that boat! I'd bet money that there's other damage. If I were hired to deliver that boat, I'd walk away. CCs are usually a tough boat. There's an awful story lurking in there somewhere.

CC sportfish boats from that era were built solid, using tons of resin to compensate for a yet to be understood new material; fiberglass. That said, it doesn't appear to be a laminate issue, but rather a fastening issue at the corner of the bulkhead. While the crack can be be filled and faired, it begs the question of how the superstructure was stressed to induce this separation. Agree with others posters... continue the hunt.

BTW, please post to brand specific forums in the future. This will not only increase your response rate from YF members, but also from the net as Google indexes our discussions.
