I have Naiad stabizers fitted to my newly purchased Bayliner 4788 but alas no control panel. This is the multi colored button panel usually fitted to the pilot house. In my case I have a rectangular hole with a multi pin cable waiting.Cheers Stephen
Is everything else present, such as the control unit? Naiad still uses the basic multisea control panel on some of their setups. Call them in Connecticut. Dave can help you.
If one is missing, bet the other is missing. I remember a customer's boat that was hit by lightning. Took a while to find his controller under the stateroom bed. I was able to find some ugly used op panels but never could find a controller. Finally ordered all new from Naiad in Liqurdale. Ouch $$$
Thanks for the reply’s, l do think l have the main control box which has been fitted in the ceiling space above the forward cabin cupboards so just forward of the pilot house with the main umbilical to pilot house dash and other substantial cables off to l think the hydraulic actuators. It was apparent that some work was taking place on the system as the Naiad hydraulic pump was disconnected for access to the starboard fin actuator (4788 access is extremely tight) and a cat 5 cable has been run to the empty dashboard spot for the multi sea 11 controller. Was the previous owner upgrading to Datum?Unfortunately l can’t ask the poor fellow was taken by Covid.
You have an actuator valve with a control board at the fin as well. You'll end up filling in missing pieces and then beginning to understand why things were being disconnected. That main control box is your brain and your gyro. If you find yourself heading to removal of portions of the fin systems, plan to rebuild the cylinders and replace bearings and seals while you're there. You don't want to have to back again just to replace the next weak link. It's a solid system if maintained. Much of it is still used by Naiad for their base product.
