  1. Tankoa Yachts 50-meter Hybrid Project Elettra
Tankoa Yachts is in the news at the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) because they announced that they will be starting construction shortly on a new 50-meter Hybrid superyacht called Project 'Elettra'. As far as we know, that vessel does not have an owner and will be built on speculation but they announced it at the show to most-likely create as much visibility for the new project as possible. Tankoa has the 50-meter "Vertige" at the show making her debut and that is actually a close sister to the newly announced project.
  2. The announcement coming today showcases the vessel will be built under hull S502. Accommodation will be in six cabins for twelve guests. The master suite will be developed on the forward main deck and feature two fold-out balconies on either side. The rest of guest accommodation will be on the lower deck and be split between three doubles and two twins. Crew accommodation on the lower deck will be in four cabins. As we noted before the yacht is going to be a hybrid yacht using power from two sources. She will have a her main diesels as MTU 8V4000 M54s plus 292KW battery bank for storing electrical energy. Top speed is likely to be around 18-knots and allow a range of around 3,400 nautical miles. In full electric mode, Project Elettra will be able to cruise at a sedate 8-knots in total silence.
