  1. SeaXplorer 55-meter Announced By Amels/Damen

Amels/Damen used the opening morning of the 2017 Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) to announce the addition of the SeaXplorer 55 to the SeaXplorer line of vessels. The SeaXplorer line was first introduced at the 2015 edition of the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS). Since then there is a SeaXplorer 75 and a SeaXplorer 65 sold currently under construction. Now they are proud to introduce the smaller 55-meter (183-foot) variant at the 2017 Monaco Yacht Show (MYS).
  2. The SeaXplorer is dubbed as a go-anywhere vessel that can have up to a month's worth of total autonomy. They are being built to IMO Polar Code which will allow them to be able to operate Artic and Antartic regions. Even though the SeaXplorer vessels are built for rugged exploration, the interiors are fully to superyacht luxury finishes. For example, there is an forward observation lounge that is located on the forward upper deck. This room is a very comfortable and relaxing area with windows on three sides, front, starboard and port. Going through the front will take you to an observation deck on the bow for an external view of the surroundings. Accommodation will be for twelve guests in six cabins and up to seventeen crew members.
  3. The aft upper and lower deck is where the action is for many of the yacht's toy storage and usage. Aft upper deck seats the vessel's helipad which can operate a helicopter with a 4,000 kg maximum takeoff weight for, day, night operations. There is a 12-meter slipway up the transom of the SeaXplorer 55 that helps launch and recovery of large tenders.
