The only red I see near the "roof" looks like it's a red lifting bladder or bag. I'd say an blood would have been washed away. If there even was any.

Does the article mention how it happened and if anybody was hurt?
  3. The only red I see is the top colour of the red/white/green Croatian flag.

However this looks still very nasty.

It happened during the day, there was only one man (captain) aboard and he suffred minor head injuries. He was able to drive himslef to nearest port and report the accident. Rescuing the boat took 2 days, there was no oil polution. Thats pretty much everything the article says:)

I live in the town where that happened.
There was only one man (captain) on the board. Thats illegal. Minimum of two!
He didn't call rescue center. He put down her tender, left her there and went to the nearest marina where he reported accident. Strange?
He said that he will give interview but that didn't happen.

How is it illegal, if there is only one captain on the boat? Given that this is a fairly small boat and not a ship or megayacht...

I think he meant 2 people. Captain plus one other.

Leave the scene of the accident, hide for a few hours till your BAC falls below minimum :)

Drinking? Wow! As for needing 2 on board, is that a local reg or something. I always try to have a 2nd for safety, but there is no reg. requiring it that I know of.

Here, we have sea book of the vessel and inside you can see minimum crew to run a boat. I think that 2 people is a minimum for all smaller vessels (from 12 meters up).
