They are not the same. The Marquis is made here in WI, about 30 minutes from me. The Mangusta & Leopard are Eruopean(I believe).

That is an Overmarine 65 Mangusta. One of the first boats built by the shipyard which is located in Viareggio Italy.

Marquis is a totally different brand and was owned by Genmar before they went bankrupt in 2009.
Best thing to do would be to phone or email Overmarine in Viareggio, Italy.

    Liam, ScotL Thank's !

I'll try to phone to Overmarine

As I anderstood there no database with plans of yachts?
It's a strange because it possible to find all information about any cars, which costs some thousends euros.
And only a few information about yachts which costs рundreds of thousands euros and more...

You got it, mostly because there are multiple tens of thousands of times more cars sold than boats. You could find the layout of a new Mangusta on their website I'm sure. Any Mangusta over 5 years old is a risky purchase IME.

If I'd be the seller, I'd show maximum pictures and information about yacht.
But now I see for example 10-20 pictures of the selling car< and only 3-5 pictures of yacht....or house/villa...IMHO strange...

    I'll try.
Mangusta 65 (wich he wants to buy) was built in 1990. And as I know was built sinse 1988 - 1992 years.

He likes its form without flybridge.

And he wants to tuning it. Repaint to black color and renovate all interior...

If he want's to go through a major refit, he should be alright with it. It's mostly the interiors and electrical that I see having the main issues after 5 years. Non of these style boats really go to weather very well and take a fair beating and the interiors start coming apart after about 5 years of typical usage.

    A 65' !
I thought I was an unequivalent specialist for MANGUSTAs.Thank you for the lesson of humility.
Never seen this version before. Even for this "classic" M/Y, the shape remains terribly aggressive and so fashionable. A beautiful cigar for seniors :D

I would like to see more photos of that one. It certainly is interesting. Is that a giant wing at the rear?

They also had a 65' flybridge version of it. And a 48' fly too.

One of the latest 65' Mangusta open available for sale was sold here in Cap d'Ail just a couple of weeks ago. It was called "Easy Life"...

Thank you for your response. You are right. Now you are evoking a 65' flying-bridge, it reminds me that I saw one of the kind, ageing, in Hercule Harbor (Monaco) near the BP gas station for boats !
    Never heard about 48'.
I didn't see any 65' in Cap d'Aïl even if I am often strolling up and down the coast jogging up to Mala Beach.I just saw the latest version of a 105 (Sealyon) docked for months in Cap d'Aïl.She moved to Hercule where she stands now.

The Mangusta 65 "Easy Life" was moored just next to the small travel lift in the corner of the Cap d'Ail shipyard. Its maybe the first or second berth on the jetty that lead to the harbor master's office...

A smaller Mangsuta 48 Fly can be found in Cannes, in Port Canto...

There is a lot of mystery around Mangusta range. Precisely in Cannes, at the old harbor, behind "Palais des Festivals", I saw a Mangusta "133" (?) and a 130 with flying-bridge ! (custom ? no confusion with a 165).

    So far, I have seen Mangustas in the following size/model: 48 Fly, 65 Open & Fly, 72, 80, 86 Fly, 90, 92, 100 Open & Fly, 105, 107, 108, 130 Open & Fly, and 165 .

I guess I missed the Mangusta 133...! Or maybe is it that you are confusing it with an ISA 133 that shares many of the lines given it was built when ISA was commercialized exclusively by the Rodriguez Group, hence influencing its design?

Yes, in 2007 they built and delivered also a 130 with a custom raised pilothouse and flybridge. If i remember correctly it is called "Forever One", has red lines and flies Canadian flag. Hull #09 of the 130 range...

The 130 with raised pilothouse is called 130S.
The 65 MY with flybridge was among the first succesful models of the Mangusta Overmarine yard. The open was not such a big hitter.
Yes ISA once build or half did a 133 model with a Mangusta hull.

I have an old Nautica magazine with a very powerboatish Mangusta 42. The Overmarine yard altough very succesful is actually very young in age, and there real milestone models where the 65 Flybridge and most important the 80. Surely the sales coperation with Rodriguez who where Arno Leopard dealers was also important to make them a status symbol brand.

Many thanks again to MedRascal and Liam for these precious pieces of information.

Yes, I think I confused a 133 with a genuine Mangusta. "Mangusta 133" written on the hull is very confusing. I still remember I was upset, something was wrong with this copy...héhé...you never copy a Mangusta :)D ).

About 130-fly : actually I remember that the design of the stairs to the fly was not that light and elegant as Overmarine is used to make. Just a little mistake they never reiterated.

May I add to Rascal's exhaustive list a 108 (or maybe 92 I can't remember any more) "super sport", written on the hull, seen in Cannes as well.

The 130S with small flybridge up top is a bit a small version of the 165 so is not that bad IMO. Yes a standard 130 is nicer but to each his own.

Mangusta did a large full flybridge motor yacht back in the mid nineties with the two decks and a half 86.
I think of the old models the 80 open version with rear facing radar arch still looks good and will be a classic for ages to come.
Of the new hard top models the 72, 92, 108, 105S, 130, 165 are all classic never ending good lookers. I am still not 100% of the newer 80 with HT. Yes it looks good but somehow I prefare the smaller 72 to it....

Yes it is a radar arch.I seized the opportunity to reply to ScotL.

The "old" M 80 is nice, as beautiful as the M 65, subject of this topic, and that is due to an agressive and everlasting look. Nevertheless, I'll be less enthusiastic for M 72 & 80 HT.The black line that underlines and separate hull from superstructure is not aesthetic at all.

    Yes, they are.
But the back of a 165, on each side, is thiner than a 130, less "feminin-shaped" if you understand what I mean...Moreover, the back of the seats of the outside lounge, above the toys/annex trunk, makes the shape heavier than 130's. And an open with a fly...is not an open !

M 130 is the one, perfect, unmatched concept among all open range. Palmer & Johnson is not bad, aggressive too, but about colors.....no comment.

You can have the black line in silver or any other color you want.
Actually browsing some brokerage listings this week I saw a Mangusta 72 which had that line in silver and IMO was very classy.
