Maybe the opposite. Most of us read too much! (insert glazed-over eyes emoticon here)

I would like to but do not feel like paying £9.00 to buy it and £19 to have it posted to me. I also not really inclined to buy a Kindle so I can download the e book version from Amazon.

I am addicted to reading. Had to stop collecting books due to size of house.
Tried the electronic books, got a Nook tablet and found out you can download 100 Sea Story kind of books for free. Couldn't put the thing away, wife and chores ignored, not a happy ending :D.
Also downloaded books to the iPad, then the other Internet reading, forums, Fartbook, newspapers, etc.
Reading cuts into not only my boating time, but also my beer time..:(

And, Brian, some here are more modern hepcats, if you will, identifying more with, say, 1895, when Mr. Slocum took "Spray" around our watery planet all by hisself: one helluva yarn.
A near-second favorite is "The Boy, Me and The Cat" Cruise of the Mascot 1912-1913 by Henry M. Plummer, an even more entertaining tale of what US East Coast sailing was like when Grandpa was still alive; complete with photography.

Now tried to buy the above book on Amazon, but what comes up is Magellan, Pioneer of the Pacific, same author.

    https://www.amazon.com/Magellan-Pio.../ref=tmm_hrd_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=&sr=

Not Magellan Conqueror of the Seas..
So I Googled the author for a list of his work:

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stefan_Zweig

None of the above books popped up.
Not sure what is going on here.
Did he publish the same book under various titles, did somebody else write under a pseudonym?
If there is wise men on this forum, let me know the answers..:)

Aye, disregard. Ordered it new in paperback instead of used hardcover.

Finished the book a few days ago.
I found it interesting, but not fascinating. Too much of the events was guessed or assumed as complete documentation was not available.
As for the quality of the writing, something was probably lost in the translation.
Good book and I sure learned history from it.
    Thx for the recommendation.
