    Good Day Ladies and Gents!

I am seeking any info on the M/Y Ibex, not to be confused with the upcoming show in Miami which bears the same name. She is a 103' Broward.

She is owned by a really cool outfit in Newport RI www.newportexperience.com but, unlike almost any other yacht of any size and age, I am unable to find any particulars on her. No listings (as far as I can tell) on any brokers sites, etc.

Any help with regard to travels, management style, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!
    ROCKY

I heard a while back (October) that they were looking for crew, I'm not sure about a captain though. I sent them my resume but they wanted someone for year round operations. =(

    Broward 104' "Ibex"

What would you like to know? She is 104' LOA, a 92MY that was extended 12' by Broward in the mid 1990's when the Cat power was removed for 12V92 DDEC's and her name was "Temptation". She sold and was renamed "Rebecca" in the late 1990's and was repainted and redecorated. She sold around 2001 to her current owner who renamed her "Ibex" and has used her and charterted her hard and she is now on the market for a song in need of a complete paint job and interior freshening.

    Thanks for the reply

Thank you for your reply Third Hatt. Shortly after my inquiry in Oct of '06 I took command of her for 18 months so I am pretty up to date on her info.

    Again, thanks for your reply,

IBEX was moored at Riverbend last year when I hauled out there right next to her.

If you were the Captain in August 2008, we met..Hello again..

(I was the cool guy with the sailboat?)

    Did IBEX finally sell?

I know the listing broker had a contract on her a couple of months ago. Not sure if it's closed yet.

No, I had left her by then and was on another boat. And yes she did recently sell, and for WAYYYYY less than $1mm. Somebody got a good deal as her mains were very strong.
