The long awaited project Falcon from Lurssen has now become a reality...She spashed apparently last Saturday...she is a real beauty i tell you. Sporting what appears to be an almost ash-grey polished hull colour with intermediate red and white boot line. The superstructure is white and the composite really came through nicely. Along the midships area on the main deck area there seems to be a full beam set of glass windows...indicating either owners room or might be a full beam dining area. Falcon appears to be a 5 or 6 decker yacht..
Well yes they are pictures but you know how it is with posting pics She is the bomb though..great design.
Well...here is a link to a nice side on pic of the Falcon...i wonder if she will keep this name?http://www.***********.com/Catalog/Yacht/?ID=241
Thanks for the heads up John... i heard the name recently but i did not know that it was refering to her...does not sound like a bad name though...
yachtluver, what a beauty that boat. She has beautiful lines.I like the way the interior is done, clean lines but yet looks attractive. The owners suite needs a big Wow .Thanks for the link. Francois
Actually there is no contradiction, it is just a matter of perspective. In the eastern culture you only reach a fortune if it is a part of your destiny and if your fate allows you to reach it. hope this short explanation covers the back ground. Nilo
You all heard that the Kismet is supposed to be at the 2007 Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) later in September?
Kismet is also a Finnish brand of chocolate, but I doubt that's where the owner got his inspiration. Bruno
For those who can't seem to get enough of Chuck Gnaegy's and Carl's review and pictures of the Lurssen Kismet, here are some more on Reymond Langton Design's website. If you want to revert to our review here on YF (which is by the way superb quality), see here: http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/lurssen-yacht/7997-review-lurssen-yachts-224-kismet.html However, the Lurssen pictures of the interior of Kismet from Reymond Langton are here: http://www.reymondlangtondesign.com/index.php?id=121 _
Now our friends at Lurssen have put up pics of the Kismet on their website... http://www.lurssen.de/frame.html
"Kismet" has been renamed...interstingly to "Global". She will have a helipad for an EC135 apparently and also be repainted. Additionally she will no-longer be available for charter.
Indeed very interesting! What a coincidence: The former "Kismet" is now named like her succesor's project name. I think the grey hull worked great on her though. I am also afraid an extension of the aft upper deck to accomodate the EC 135 will throw off the lines! After the sale of the 67m "Allure Shadow" she was also named "Global", I wonder if there is a connection between these 2 sales...
