What is surprising is that there are no more yachts with Skat's military look. Skat is a piece of art, and the fact that there aren't more descendants a real pitty which speaks volumes for the cultural environment of the yacht industry.

Well, the manufacturers are more than willing to manufacture what the consumer wants. While there are some who like this style and some who like many other unique styles, the Yacht purchasing consumer on the whole is pretty conservative.

It's all a matter of tastes. One of the problems is that as a whole people tend toward liking things not far removed from what they're use to. People tend to tweak designs rather than make major change. This isn't just the way it is with yachts. It's true of all manufacturing.

When seeking info on MY Skat, you would encounter the owner's source of finances - Microsoft.

Let me take a wild guess.

His mindset is the reason for MY Skat being full of technological innovations. ;)
