I don't know of any Captain that work for that rate on that size boat at all. The only person you will get for that in Fort Lauderdale will be totally incompetant. That is Mate pay on a 75'. Generally I get an unsolicited offer to go full time for someone once a year, it generally is $1200 per foot, but has been as high as $1500 per foot on a 100' yacht.

For example, I have a friend that runs a 44' express (Regal or Searay) in South Florida, he makes $1000 per week ($52k a year), he only works Monday-Friday and less than 40 hours. Owner uses the boat 4 days a week for about a 4 hour cruise to go to lunch on the water like 11am-3pm and that's it.

Good luck to them. Especially without a mate on 75 footer. I don't know who would take that job!

Anyone who will work for this money will most likely not be qualified nor will they last- but on the other hand there is a shoe for every foot...

There are always those looking to buy any product or secure any service at the lowest possible price, not at a reasonable or fair price. Often they get what they pay for, low quality.
