The C.115 is another yacht from the Codecasa and pretty significant in size as well. C.115 will be 65M long when completed. Here are some very brief main statistics on her:

The C.115 is an interesting design but not exactly a beauty. She features a hull colour that is very similar to the m/y Mariu'. Would this suggest anything as to if she is a successsor? We will wait and see. She appears to be a four or five deck design which features a wide array of glass above the maindeck. This would be great for views outward. On each deck, there are forward sloping aesthetic supports giving her the look of a liner than a yacht in that regard.

Her stern for me is the highlight. Full beam steps adorn the entire aft of the stern creating a grand and palatial entrance to the water or the yacht. Beautifully lined with teak, this should be a favourite spot to gaze at a sunset. Good contrast between materials of high tensile steel and high quality teak add to the charm of this area.

The hull is to be made from high tensile steel as mentioned but the superstructure will be fashioned from aluminum. Put altogether, the C.115 should weigh around 800 tonnes. To push this vessel through the water will be CATS.

To be exactly precise, these engines will be 2x2482 HP Caterpillar 3516 B. Each will operate at around 1600 RPM. A maximum speed of 17 knots can be achieved at light load. To power the onboard sectors, CAT generators will be used. Three x 175 Kw Caterpillar generators and 1 x 84 Kw Caterpillar Emergency Generator for back up.

World travelling should not be a problem because with an expected range of 6,000 NM at 14 knots- and even further at less speed- distance is almost out of the equation. Living aboard will be in the utmost luxury imaginable. With a minimalist interior characterized by wooden floors, light airy colours and textures as well as modern furniture and accessories, home away from home is non-ficticous.

Accomodation will be spread throughout six guest rooms as well as the grand master suite. The crew will have their share of the pie by being accomodated in 6-twin bed cabins. Even the engineer will have his own cabin. The captain's cabin will make up the eighth crew cabin.

All in all, the C.115 looks to be an interesting project to be undertaken. With the size of 65M, there is surely to be an abundance of interior space. An array of tenders and toys are imaginable but let us keep our wits about us and wait untill C.115 becomes reality.

    Codecasa 65M MAIN

The 65M motor yacht that was underconstruction by Codecasa yachts has been apparently delivered. The military green 65M yacht is called MAIN. Of course Mr. Armani owned the 51M Mariu which was recently sold.

One of the vessel's main highlights has to be the full-width transom steps finished in teak. The iconic forward slanting deck supports are also a highlight. Main is with out a doubt one of the most significant launches for Codecasa in recent years.

According to the website, Mr. Armani has designed the interior himself, knowing that he is a fashion mogul. A minimalist interior is apparent according to the renderings on the Codecasa website. The interior is dominated with teak floors and an airy atmosphere.

Light coloured and textered materials combine with dark coloured furniture that aptly matches with the military green exterior of the MAIN.

Fascinating yacht. Took me a while to get used to her, but Armani's choice of color really makes her stand out and also makes her immediately recognisable as his yacht.
Can't think of another large yacht in this color scheme.
Very good to see someone venture away from the boring all-white designs.
    Couragious and refreshing.

The size of Main suits him better. He is a billionaire, and Mariu was not a large yacht by 2008 standards. A 65 metre ship is much more in line with his status as the no. 1 designer on the planet. Congratulations Giorgio!
