Bow Thruster on 396 Carver

    All electronics including stern thruster working except bow thruster, which was working fine previously...Black switch on port side underneath helm, does that affect bow thruster operation...Also there is a black button above the joy stick for the thruster that pushes in & out...Is this a fuse...Are there other fuses that could affect the operation of the bow thruster...

    What thruster do you have, is it a Volvo Penta QL series? The black button on the joystick is to turn power on/off to the joystick. There should be a red led that lights up when it's on if it's a QL thruster...

    And some also have a big red emergency switch on the relay box. Push in to shut off, pull to reset. Easy to bump off

    I've also seen others that have those large amperage inline fuses and large amperage breakers, both are usually mounted relatively close to the thruster.
