Some like her; some don't, but she sure doesn't go anywhere without getting noticed. I remember when the Highlander held that distinction. Times sure have changed.:)

Well in the photo it does possibly appear to be bulging it is just it does project far out infront the hull which leaves the foward waterline area to wave pierce somewhat, if you could call it that?

I've seen them in person cleaning the windows. About 4 or 5 guys go over from the top of the -conning tower- (lol) and lower themselves almost abseiling. They are in harnesses with everything needed, the bucket, washing supplies, extension handles, hose, everything! It's amazing how they do it. The guys on "Yas" must be dreading their upcoming work!

    Mega Yacht A Hamilton

Took some pictures of A as it was right outside the port in Capri this week. Owned by Andrei Melnichenko, designed by Philippe Starck. It's for sure different from most yachts, but I'm still not sure what I think about the design. What you think?

Many thanks for these superb pics and welcome to YF unnilo!
Interesting to see close-ups of her tender hatches... are these tender-backets removeable, how do they work?
I think she is a very sexy design an and despite she is 4 years old she makes me everytime spechless, IMHO.

Tender brackets? I assume you are referring to the grey vertical pins? Thos are the fendering system for the tenders. Once they launch a tender they will install them, they just simply push down into a slot/hole in the deck. Saw them doing it when "A" was here a few years ago. On a side note, if you look carefully into the garage of the close up shot you will see the new radical RIB tender. It looks like it is stored in the middle, between the open sports shuttle and Limo all by VM/NZ Tenders. Welcome to YF Unnilo! Thanks for your very nice photos.

    Hello from a casual newbie.

I've been fascinated by the world of mega yachts ever since seeing in the Costa Esmeralda a gold plated yacht called Lady Anfalma (Anfaldma?) of approx 30m moored there in the 1970's.

Recently whilst in the Cote d'Azur I spotted this science fiction inspiration cruising around Cannes and moored in Monaco on 30 Sept 12, could anyone oblige my curiosity and give some generic details of what she is. The only marking I could see was a large "A" on her stern.

    Monaco Sci-fi 1
    Monaco Sci-fi 2
    Monaco Sci-fi 3
    Monaco Sci-fi 4
    Monaco Sci-fi 5
    Monaco Sci-fi 6

    Many thanks for any help.
