The delivery captain of this 80 Hatteras did nothing but piss off the whole marine city of Jacksonville FL as he came into town last Saturday (3 25 17) at high speed.
I express disappointment when a delivery captain fails to understand his wake, what it does, how far it travels, and the attitude when called over the radio to slow his ass down.
AIS was turned off. I had an idea where he was going and found him the next day.
Was unsure of the name on the transom till today. Still can not pronounce it.

I understand he will continue north to North Carolina soon.

I can hope the owner catches wind of this post. IMG_20170329_181429484_HDR b.jpg

    Delivery Captain.

Very similar to a 72 Hatt I work on. I also know how much water the 72 tears up.

Maybe a man-to-man visit with the operator would clear up any confusion about wake and responsibilities?

I had damage to my boat after being waked in the Florida Keys.
Called the Marine Police with name and description of the culprit boat.
They found him anchored nearby, pulled him off his boat and they all came over to my boat where a police report was filled out, witnesses questioned and exchange of information done.
I got every nickel and dime back from the Idiot after repairs, kind of happy ending, but got zero tolerance for ignorant or evil boaters. :(

The locals know where he is. It can be a tight town sometimes.

    I hope it was friendly.
Here in South Georgia (JAX FL), we have a problem when somebody rocks our raft and spills the beer (or rum).
It's usually NOT a hand shake that comes out of a pocket or back pack.

I saw the boat just today. it's still floating. So I guess all is cool (till he heads out).
