    sitting the USCG tests to upgrade my ticket to 1600ton near coastal/3000ton ITC. a buddy of mine showed me his uscg 500ton ticket and he has an endorsement printed right on it for 3000ton OSV.he said to make sure i ask for this as well as it wont be added unless i request it.. anybody know anything about this? isnt an OSV simply a type of vessel? never heard of this,but would like to get all i can in the way of endorsements.anything else i should know? any other websites for more info that anyone knows of? thanks in advance..

    The 3000 OSV endorsement he has on his 500 GRT Masters is a trade restricted endorsement limited to near coastal domestic waters.

    When you get your 1600 GRT license you will also have a 3000 GT (ITC) endorsement, which covers you for working on OSV's, or any other vessel.
