  1. It's what you can't see that concerns most of us, so let's take look behind the scene. Crawling behind the helm we found something very unusual... space! Lots of it, making new installations or repairs simple and quick. We also found something even more important; wiring that looked like a computer generated schematic all neatly bundled behind Cheoy Lee's trademark conduit. Bravo!
  2. Heading down to the boiler room, we found the exhaust systems for the MTU 2400's well-supported. This is one elbo, braced in three positions, with rubber mounted surfaces to keep vibration transmission minimized.
  3. The AY-90 has a small engine room by "motoryacht" standards, but sportfish boats don't have the luxury of a superstructure that extends to the stern. Still, everything is accessible. Here's a passageway from the lazarette to the beam side of an engine. It's almost a complete walk-around engine room, but not a full stand-up engine room at the beam ends.
  4. Stabilizer access is good, but not great. Truth is, you don't often need it and it's far better that hydraulics remain in the engine room (where things are meant to get dirty), then being under the carpet in the master stateroom.
  5. Few builders make provisions for bilge access. This picture was taken under the belly of one of MTU's fire breathing beasts. And seeing how we're in the bilge, we'll wash our hands and wrap up YF's review of an exceptional new boat redefining a category. Or revolutionizing it.

The Affinity 90' is a game changer. You can have your luxury... and fish it too!
