46-meter Project 'Gotham' Starts Build By Icon

Dutch builder Icon Yachts has started construction on a new build they call the 'Gotham' Project. The 46-meter yacht appears to have first time collaborators. The design is by Canadian firm E.R Yacht Design who worked very closely with the owner of the yacht to finesse and conclude the brief. Naval Architecture is by Van Oossansen which employs the FDHF (Fast Displacement Hull Form) in conjunction with the Hull Vane technology.

Jen Wartena, who is the CEO of Icon Yachts said: “This project has been one of the most innovative and exciting projects we have been involved in. It’s the culmination of a great deal of work spanning over 22 months since our initial discussions at the Monaco Yacht Show in September 2015.” The yacht is expected to be launch just short of 24 months from now.
