  1. Ruea Yachts Present 50-meter Superyacht Design 'Du Voyager' at MYS
Ruea Yachts presented two motoryacht designs at the just concluded 2014 edition of the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS). One design is for a 43-meter motoryacht with design by Cor D. Rover and the other is a 50-meter tri-deck superyacht known as 'Du Voyager' with design by Design Unlimited. The latter mentioned design we will focus on. If the so-called Du Voyager 50-meter design looks familiar it is because it looks similar in many aspects to a luxury motoryacht recently delivered by Feadship. The design is by Design Unlimited and although it has similar appeal to a yacht called "Como", there are a lot of features that are different. One thing that they have in common is the extensive use of glass. The Ruea project seems to taking the glazing fetish to another level though. For example, the master suite, located forward on the main deck has a glass ceiling. The suite can also open-up with fold-down balconies port and starboard. Centrally placed in the suite is a personal jacuzzi for the owner. The dipping area is surrounded by sofa chairs and an abundance of decorative plants that take advantage of the wealth of natural light that pour in from above.

Guest accommodation is spread across four other cabins and there is provision for berthing of ten crew members. There is another jacuzzi situated on the forward end of the sun deck for guests. Just aft is a bar topped in fancy stone with seating for six and further aft is sofa type seating for a relaxing time. One deck below on the aft upper deck, there is al fresco dining at a large table for twelve. There is a tender garage set transverse for the yachts main tender and jet ski (toys). The design of the Du Voyager 50 by Design Unlimited is nice looking even if we have seen it before elsewhere.
