  1. Overmarine Announces Sale of Oceano 42-meter Motoryacht
A year ago, a new project for a 42-meter steel and aluminium yacht designed by Alberto Mancini for the long range line was officially presented at the Monaco Boat Show, this was Mangusta Oceano 42. Today, the Overmarine Group has announced the sale of Mangusta the Oceano 42. When the Group decided to enter a different market segment to that of long-range yachts, it was not looking for an alternative to the Maxi Open yachts which remain the company’s strong point. Rather, the Group wanted to seize an opportunity as it had both the technical and managerial skills necessary. This sale marks an important step for our shipyard and for our ocean-going vessels line. This is a segment in which we believe we can play a key role and become a leader, as indeed we believe we already are in the Maxi Open segment,” declared Francesco Frediani, Group Commercial Director. “This beautiful ship is already under construction in our Pisa facilities and we’re looking forward to admiring her sail the oceans of the world.”

  2. Design, comfort and last generation technologies merge together in the Mangusta Oceano 42. The yacht's proportions feature a mixture of taut, sharp lines and softer sections. On board, light was studied carefully and a new concept devised which provides for two innovative areas: on the deck at bow the external area has been created with two distinct places for sunbathing that plunge into a swimming-pool with an infinity-style waterfall. A glazed skylight at the bottom of the swimming-pool brings light and translucence into the Owner suite head on the underlying bridge.

Astern, on the other hand, the tailgate has glazed cross cuts which provide glimpses through to a fully furnished beach area. Once open, it stretches out over the sea, creating a platform where the glazed surfaces become a source of natural light which lets the nocturnal illumination of the underwater lights set aft filter through. The interiors are designed to accommodate up to 12 guests and 7 crew members ensuring maximum privacy and freedom of movement. Here, everything is linked to the external area: there are huge windows in the salon through which natural light comes and in the other areas transparent glazing brings light to the various environments increasing the perception of space.
