  1. Cheoy Lee displaying 4 yachts at Palm Beach

Cheoy Lee Shipyards announced that they will be displaying four Cheoy Lee motor yachts at the Palm Beach International Boat Show, March 26 -29, Ramp 6. Included will be the Alpha 87 Express Sportbridge, Alpha 76 Express Flybridge, Bravo 84 Cockpit Motor Yacht and a pre-owned Bravo 72 Cockpit Motor Yacht. In addition to this impressive line-up, visitors will be able to learn more about the exciting new Cheoy Lee models including the OneEleven, Global 104 and Explorer 150.

OneEleven - The Global Series One Eleven concept builds off the sporty Cheoy Lee Yachts the company has been rolling out in recent years. Designed by Overing Yacht Designs, the new OneEleven has crossover appeal for both the large express and traditional motor yacht customer. Her increased volume and fuel capacity for a yacht of this style gives her a true motor yacht feel. Two distinct options are available on the OneEleven, one with an extended hardtop to cover the large flybridge, the other featuring an open top helm station. Both configurations include a second, fully enclosed, and raised pilothouse helm station. There are four and five stateroom configurations, as well as country kitchen and on deck master variants. An elegantly reversed sheerline establishes her sporting character, letting her feel at home in a field full of hot boats. The sheerline gracefully dips and seems to anchor the sail panel that rises to visually support the sun deck. Tracing the sheer to its terminus at the transom shows this design’s connection to the fabulous American commuter yachts of the early 20th century. The effect is there, and it looks great.
  2. EXPLORER 150 - The first in new series of very long range yachts designed by Overing Yacht Designs. The new Cheoy Lee 150 can be constructed in steel hull with aluminum superstructure or steel hull, composite superstructure. Cheoy Lee Explorer 150 offers excellent performance with astounding range and economy. The Explorer 150 features a single main engine (Cat 3512B) and Schottel controllable pitch propeller. For redundancy, a diesel driven Schottel Pump-Jet is installed forward to serve as a fully azimuthing bow thruster and a “get home" secondary propulsion system. Fuel capacity on this new design is 25, 000 U.S. gallons (94,625 liters). The large fuel capacity combined with a highly efficient fast-displacement hull will push the calculated range up to 10, 000 NM at 9-10 knots and around 6,000 NM at 12 knots with a top speed of 14.5 to 15 knots with the standard Caterpillar 3512B. Designed and built with the mindset of a commercial ship, the Cheoy Lee 150 is an efficient, low maintenance motor yacht that is built for extended world cruising.
  3. ALPHA 87 SPORTBRIDGE - Michael Peters design and Luiz de Basto interior makes a statement that there is a new player in the big express market. Power for the Alpha 87' Flybridge is supplied by twin CAT C32 ACERTS thumping out 1900HP each. Top speed is 32 knots with cruise 24 knots. Honeycomb-cored cabinetry and wall panels reduce her weight by upwards of 20,000 pounds, allowing the machinery to be distributed throughout the boat to optimize the center of gravity. The result is an 87' yacht capable of holding plane as low as 16 knots! She features an open salon, galley and formal dining area that lead to striking curved stairways that frame the helm area. The aft, full-beam master has a king-size bed, walk-in closet and head with shower and his-and-her sinks. The queen VIP stateroom, portside queen guest cabin and starboard twin cabin are spacious for a yacht this size. Large windows and a retractable roof allow plenty of natural light into the living areas. On the aft deck, twin stairs lead to the swim platform and a garage that houses a 12-foot tender with an optional remote-controlled, hydraulic launching system. Above the garage is an optional hot tub, which doubles as a sunpad when not in use.
