Palmer Johnson 170; unit 2​

The second unit in the Palmer Johnson 170 series is well underway. Although the design a somewhat radical in nature, it stays true to the sports theme that Palmer Johnson have honed so well especially with the success of the PJ120 model. The 170 takes the concept to a much larger size and level and throws in the added new feature of a much straighter knife-like bow profile.

The design is again by Nuvolari & Lenard who have worked numerous times in the past with Palmer Johnson. Like the first unit which was launched and completed in 2010, hull 2 will have a large swimming pool on her fore deck, allowing guests to actually have the ability to swim without having to go into the open ocean.

The 52.20-meter hull is classed to Lloyd's and compliant MCA. A maximum of twelve guests may dwell in her fives well-appointed staterooms. Crew members will abide in five crew cabins. Hull number 2 mounts two MTU 2,565 horse power marine engines. Her cruising range is expected near 2,500 nautical miles. Delivery of the second Palmer Johnson 170 Sport Mega yacht is due for June 2011.
