This is the latest news from; http://www.showmanagement.com/ Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show® Opening Rescheduled For Saturday, October 29 Show To Run Through Tuesday, November 1 FORT LAUDERDALE --- The 46th Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show® announced today the rescheduling of Opening Day to Sat., October 29. The show will now run through Tues., November 1. Show producers made this decision based on the National Hurricane Center’s latest forecasts on Hurricane Wilma’s path, and meetings with local law enforcement, city and county officials, and the U.S. Coast Guard. "The current forecast calls for the storm to be 75 miles off Florida’s Atlantic coast by Tuesday afternoon, allowing us to resume set-up at all six show sites," said Kaye Pearson, president of Yachting Promotions, Inc., producers of the show. He added, "We are in continuous communication with our exhibitors to ensure a smooth opening." Show producers will continue to monitor the situation. If an earlier show opening is possible due to a change in the hurricane’s path, all efforts will be made to do so.
? I am a broker in Knoxville, TN, and had plans to attend the show with some clients. We have plans to arrive on Tue. morning and leave Sometime Thurs. I am taking them down to look at the Marquis 65. Since the show will not start until Sat. I doubt Carver will have boats at the dock until Thurs. or Fri. I was wondering if anyone knows of a 65 in the Lauderdale area that I could show my clients. Any info would be appreciated.
The closest Carver/Marquis dealer to Lauderdale is Trio Marine Group. They will be displaying the 65 Marquis and the 59 Marquis at FLIBS. Trio Marine Group 821 N.E. 3rd Street Dania Beach, FL 33004 954-524-4950
