Baltimore is not quite Ft. Lauderdale but every now and then some nice ones come in. 1. Northern Lights - Feadship 2. Lady Caroline - Johnson 3. Easy Rider - Horizon (?)
Obviously these aren't yachts, but I thought some war buffs may like them. 1. Submarine USS Torsk 2. Constellation
Great pics Loinel, Thanks. "Kisses" seems to be a Feadship. "Easy Rider" is indeed a Horizon. Like you, I have never seen a Sea Ray MY like that one.
Some quick research turns up a Sea Ray 650 Cockpit Motoryacht built from 1992 to 1996. The only one I can find in my database was a 1995 model previously sold in California. That must be a pretty rare beast.
Thanks Eric. Your info was just enough to check up on the Sea Ray. It is indeed rare. Sea Ray only built 12 of the 65's. For what it's worth this is one of Sea Rays better looking boats
Thanks for starting an interesting photographic thread. You caught two very venerable Feadships within the first week. That is very impressive. Northern lights is a very handsome 150 footer and Kisses is also quite impressive. You captured the first picture in the wild of a Johnson 105 I have seen. I hope you will continue to take photos and post. Very nice.
Thank you. I will keep it updated. I need to make a trip down to Annapolis to see what's down there. It's been an unusually good yacht spotting season so far. My guess is the yachts are heading north to New England.
I've been onboard the Sea Ray 65 MY. What makes it unique to the SR line is a lower helm station. Great looking boat with a salon large enough to live aboard. There was one docked just south of Shooters, on the east side of the intracoastal in Lauderdale for a number of years. I spoke with the owner (circa 2004) and was told that only 5-6 were produced, but his math may have been fuzzy.
Grumpy's gettin' around. This shot was taken Out My Window on February 7th, 2010, possibly northbound to Baltimore? Zooming in, we can see Snow White should have married Grumpy. He's got his own Hargrave now! Below, is a picture of himself prominently displacing the letter "H"...
Here are a few more... 1. Outta Touch - Intermarine 2. Brave Heart - Don't know builder (Looks like a Broward) 3. Joy Ride - Sunseeker Predator 52
portholes These images are a great documentary of the respect certain yards give to the Sea for which they are intended. Some would seem to challenge her to push in one of their forward large and illuminous portholes. Have knowledge of a 55 Hat that pushed in a porthole on Lake Erie a few years back. The mattress that was stuffed in to slow the ingestion got sucked out of the hole in moment. That is not an area to play with.
1. US Army Tug MG Anthony Wayne 2. MG Anthony Wayne 3. Another Tug Unkown name (A little out of focus) I didn't realize the Army had tugs....
