Benetti launches 145' megayacht "Checkmate"​

"Checkmate" is a latest megayacht to be launched by Italian yacht manufactuer Benetti. She is hull BV018 and is part of the Vision Line that Benetti has. Checkmate was launched over the weekend on Saturday June 9th.

CEO of the Mega-yacht division of the the Azimut/Benetti Group, Vincenzo Poerio, declared during the ceremony: “We are particularly proud of our latest launch, the 100th fiberglass yacht built in Viareggio since 1998. This is a further demonstration of Benetti's ability to listen to the Client and interpret his specific needs; and above all, another example of a perfect blend between timeless design, world class construction, safety and an extremely high quality on-board life, both for the owner and his crew”. Checkmate is for a well known American surgeon from Washington. The yacht will be delivered after requisite sea trials and final detailing is comepleted.
