Dutch superyacht builder Amels Yachts has taken the veil off the latest addition to their line-up. It is the Amels 206 which looks alot like the LE199 line. It is basically the Limited Editions 199 hull and styling just a couple feet longer. Amels introduce the new addition after bringing to market the 60-meter "Event" and "Madame Kate". The new 206 is 62.4-meters overall in length.

The extra length can be experienced towards the aft where there is more swim-platform space as well as a slightly expanded beach club. The incorporation of movable stairs in the swim platform will be a welcome sight for guests as it allows easy water access to and from the yacht and it is in a stylish solution rather than rigging a 'clip-in' vertical ladder. Additionally, there is direct access to the lower deck cabins from this area. The beach club can be a fairly versatile space for guests to utilize.

Guests will benefit from a expansive sundeck as well on the new Amels 206. The forward section is dedicated to a large jacuzzi pool and sun lounging. Midships has an enclosed lounge which can be opened on the fore and aft sections. Once inside, guests will enjoy al fresco dining and general relaxation. Aft of the lounge is open deck space that can be fitted with outdoor furniture and covered via custom sun awnings.

Similar to the LE199 the master suite is situated on the forward main deck position. It is full beam and benefits from the large circular windows on both sides allowing for stunning views outward while offering a wealth of natural light in the daytime hours. His and Hers bathrooms are ensuite as expected and there is a spacious dressing and 'getting-ready' area. More-than adequate storage is available around the room in closets and hidden drawers. Other accommodation for guests is on the lower deck. The exterior design of the Amels 206 is once again by Tim Heywood in cooperation with Amels Yachts. The touch-and-go helipad feature option on the bow remains as well as main tender storage in the bow. Exterior painting is customizable to create the unique appearance to help set the yacht apart from others.
