YF's Carl Camper, Tom Serio, Loren Schweizer, Judy Waldman and Chuck Gnaegy took a final cruise through the Venice of America as we bid farewell to year 2011. In a somewhat skewed look by YF’s crew of commandos, our editorial misfits opened fire on a few boats.
While Tom focused his lens, the rest of us blurred the pics with a little behind-the-screen banter that left a few boats taking on water...

This has resulted in a stunning yacht with a recognizable design wearing a modern jacket”.

Franco Gianni SC154 PowerCat
Another new design surfaces from within the deep superyacht design pool, this time from Studio Franco Gianni. Their proposal is for a 47-meter powered catamaran design that is just about as sleek as they come. The boat has some special features that are sure to keep you interested.
Starting with the way the yacht's tenders could be launched or recovered. The SC154 will be able to launch her tenders the conventional way, that is, outboard from the hull. However, what happens if the sea state is not ideal for launching? The solution is to launch them inboard, that is, between the hulls and taking full advantage of the sheltered area created by the multihull platform.
Another nice feature is the yacht's pool. She boasts a near 3-meter square pool perched centrally on the very back of the boat. That's a well-suited place to take a dip while enjoying the view of an exotic shoreline nearby...
