  1. 75XP Unveiled By Nauta Design
News designs are always released but many of them never make it past the drawing board or rendering stages. One of the latest designs is for a 75-meter explorer by Nauta Designs. This one is fully designed and engineered ready to build should a client commission the project. In fact the design comes with a 200 page specification document. At 75-meters, she won't be contending for largest explorer in the world but is content to be a versatile platform for her new owner should she be commissioned.
  2. It is envisioned to be built with an ice-classed hull which will allow the vessel to visit polar regions of the world. Although it will have that strength, the vessel would also be comfortable and at home in the tropical regions of the world too, taking in obligatory sites like the Caribbean for example. The yacht will be able to operate in -20C to 40C temperatures easily which will take it to most places around the world.
  3. Onboard accommodation is expected for up to 12 guests with 24 crew running the affairs of the yacht. There are numerous al-fresco areas onboard for guests to enjoy inclusive of the large dining table on the aft upper deck that can easily handle a full-complement of guests onboard at the same (12 to 14 seats). With a beam of 12.8-meters there will be no shortage of space onboard.
  4. One of the main features onboard is the large pool situated on the aft main deck. This has a variable depth feature and the pool floor can be raised to deck level allowing the area to be used as a touch-and-go helipad. This feature is not new in the industry as we have seen it made popular being incorporated on superyachts like the Oceanco "Alfa Nero". As the pool is the central feature on this area of the yacht, it is surrounded by day beds and loungers for guests to enjoy either extremes of relaxing.
  5. On the other end of the deck there is small pool located on the fore deck just aft of the helipad. Yes, there is another area for a helicopter to land on this vessel. When not under aviation use, the area around the pool can be accessorized with custom sunpads and throws. However, having the helipad on the bow affords the flexibility to being guests in by air and embark or disembark the yacht with minimal hassle.
  6. The highest deck also finds room for relaxation and features another small pool/jacuzzi on its forward position. Enveloping the forward end of the base of the mast the space is dotted by sunpads and built-in seating. Also being the highest guest deck the uninterrupted views are first rate and as a result this small space will be heavily utilized.
  7. Remember this yacht will be at home in the Caribbean weather too so it is fitted with a beach club on the aft lower deck. Three fold-down platforms are available -port, starboard and aft- to add views as well as natural light. Additionally when deployed they add approximately 185 square meters of deck space to the area. Inside, the beach club is home to a beauty salon, sauna and hammam.
  8. Forward of the beach club is the yacht's tender garage. The tender garage is large enough to satisfy capacity for three tenders. A small submarine can be carried aboard along with a 9.5-meter limo tender. There will also be numerous water toys. On the performance side of the equation, the 75XP can be powered conventionally or be hybrid powered along with batteries. Additionally, Nauta Designs have left space to incorporate methanol tanks should a client want to go in that direction. The project is ready to be built by a discerning client.
